Admissions If you would like a place for your child at I.S.M., the first step is to contact the Admissions Secretary.
A copy of the application form can be found here. As studies at ISM are in English, it is necessary, for children of all ages, that at least one parent be fluent in English. As well as the children’s work, all communications from the school (letters, timetables, reports, etc.) are in English. From Year 1 upwards we also ask that the child has a reasonable level of English. In some cases pupils may be accepted on the condition that they undertake intensive English classes over the summer. The school may also require that pupils have extra classes in English or Maths when they arrive in order to reach the level of the rest of the class. If there is a possibility of a place for your child, the Admissions Secretary will contact you and arrange an opportunity to visit the school for a tour. Parents of children entering Nursery and Reception will then be invited for a meeting with the Foundation Stage Co-ordinator and the Deputy Head. Children entering from Years 1 – 6 will be asked to attend an informal interview with one of the teachers of the school who will assess the child’s academic level and level of English. Pupils in Years 7 - 13 will be asked to sit entrance examinations. Entrance examinations vary according to the age of the pupil. An interview prior to acceptance is mandatory and reports from previous schools (if any) are required. Primary:
