There are various special events during the year. Here is a brief description of each.

The Christmas Concert. This is for pupils only and takes place at the end of the Autumn Term. Musical contributions (instrumental and choir) are combined with a special quiz where each house tries to obtain the most points.

Christmas and Valentine's Day discos. These are run by the School Council and the members decide on the destination of the money raised. Money is often raised for Medicos Sin Fronteras amongst other charities and in January 2005 ISM raised 6000 euros for the Asian tsunami appeal. Charities are supported, especially at Christmas, with gifts for the homeless and sick children.

Inter-house competitions. Periodically, Mr Bennett and staff organise these competitions in different sporting activities. House points are gained and go towards the final award in June (House Cup). They are given for excellence in work, effort and school spirit.

Fund raising Music Concert and Dinner. This is a social event for parents. Pupils present a number of musical items, followed by a dinner where students provide both the waiter service and the musical accompaniment. All profit goes to a particular cause. In the last two years money has been raised to provide musical instruments for ISM pupils.

Prize-giving. This is an important event for pupils which takes place at the end of the school year. Under no circumstances should pupils miss this event, even if they are on examination leave. We regret we do not have space to accommodate parents.

International Evening. This event takes place early in the summer term, and involves fund raising activities and food brought by parents and pupils from different countries. It has been a great success. Money raised goes to subsidise the end of the year excursion.

Ski Trip. The school offers a skiing holiday for children from Year 3 up in the Half-Term Week in February (14th to 18th). Pupils have usually gone to Andorra. This trip, like the Primary Camp, has been successfully run now for many years by Enrique Marabini.

Schools Council. In Primary there is a Student Government and in Secondary this takes the form of The School Council. Elected class representatives (two per class) form the Council and they themselves vote for a President and Vice-President. The aim of the Council is to represent the pupils and the President and Vice-President meet regularly with the Head of Secondary.

Apart from these representatives there are House Captains, also elected by pupils, and Prefects, Head Boy and Head Girl, chosen by staff to help in the running of the school, particularly at break and lunch times.
